Ashoka

“There is nothing more powerful than pattern-changing ideas in the hands of leading social entrepreneurs.” Bill Drayton CEO and Chair, Ashoka.

For the past 30 years, Ashoka has searched for, selected, and supported social innovators whose work shows great promise for making large-scale change in the world’s most pressing problems.  Since Ashoka founder Bill Drayton first coined the term “social entrepreneurship,” it has become a burgeoning field, attracting many as a creative approach towards social change.

Having selected over 3000 social innovators who are recognized as “Ashoka Fellows,”Ashoka now seeks to deploy this global network of people and ideas as a massive, collaborative force for positive change.  In collaboration with new partners, Ashoka is setting the stage for our Social Innovators to collaboratively tackle the world’s biggest social, environmental, and economic challenges.
